The Salamanca district

The Salamanca district is one of the most coveted places in the city, due to its location between Plaza Cibeles, Retiro Park and Paseo de la Castellana.
Its particular configuration, designed by the architect Carlos María De Castro in the 19th century, was intended to emulate the French architectural style and be the home of the high bourgeoisie of the time. Today, it is the neighbourhood with the highest price per square meter in the capital of Spain.
The attractiveness of the Salamanca neighbourhood not only stems from the architecture of this area, full of palaces, museums, churches, but also form its large variety of luxury shops and popular restaurants, which coexist in harmony. This is a neighbourhood full of life both during the day and at night.
