Jerónimos Neighbourhood

This area owes its name to the famous church San Jerónimo el Real, formerly a monastery dating from the 16th century. This neighbourhood was built on land ceded by the Royal family.
The Jerónimos neighbourhood is one of the most beautiful areas to live in Madrid. Most of its territory is occupied by the Retiro Park and there is no doubt that living near this wonderful green lung of Madrid is a privilege. As if it were not enough, Jerónimos is also home to the famous Prado Museum and the Royal Botanical Garden, two jewels of Madrid.
The level of exclusivity of this neighbourhood stems from the architectural beauty of its buildings, most of them palaces with a sublime touch. We are talking about houses dating from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Walking through its streets is considered a pleasure for many and living in their homes, the privilege of a few.
